  • Evaristo Berg (January 13, 1834 St-Benoit on the Island of Reunion - June 11, 1864 in Puebla, Mexico) - another participant in the Battle of Camerone in the ranks of the Legion. Excellent soldier who knew how to throw a knife. He had huge problems with gambling - debts incurred him to the Legion and ended his life in a personal duel in Cordoba. He died from his injuries at a hospital in Pueblo. On his native Island of Reunion is today a street named after him.
